General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR)
CLARUS TECH PARTNERS PROVIDES COMPLETE GDPR SOLUTIONS FOR
A COMPLEX REGULATION
What is GDPR?
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the European Union’s (EU) Parliament data privacy and protection law, was approved on 14 April 2016 and impacts all organizations on a global scale.
Enforcement of the law went into effect on 25 May 2018 and organizations that are not compliant could now face heavy fines, lawsuits, and/or audits.
€20 million (about $24 million USD) or 4 percent of your company's annual global revenue, whichever is greater.

Who Does this Affect?
GDPR includes all organizations that processes personal data or sells goods or services to citizens in EU countries, including EU citizens with dual citizenship, residency and passports.
This means that your organization may not have any offices, employees, contractors or even any customers in any European Union country; however, if your business in any way processes and stores personal data of EU residents or customers, it falls under the jurisdiction of GDPR.
